Robert C. Silkey is the founder and CEO of Einstein Industries, Inc. Mr. Silkey is responsible for directing product development and all aspects of marketing for the company. With more than fifteen years of experience in the health care industry, Mr. Silkey is continually broadening his expertise in the field and has recently become an authority in medical e-commerce. Prior to founding Einstein Industries, Mr. Silkey was director for Preferred Medicard in Ohio, regional vice president of A.L. Williams, and president of Med-A-Mark, where he was instrumental in establishing the company as one of the most successful and respected independent distribution companies in the country.
As founder of American Medical Consultants, Mr. Silkey launched the first multi-specialty medical franchise in the United States. In a bold move, Mr. Silkey then redirected his resources to develop the Internet-based patient referral directory that remains the focal point of Einstein Industries’ business model. Following this, he introduced Einstein’s unique Value Added Benefits package and DocShop.com, the Internet’s preeminent health care resource for consumers. Since then, Mr. Silkey has continued to guide Einstein Industries as it has developed into the nation’s premier Internet marketing company for health care providers and attorneys. All the while, under Mr. Silkey’s leadership, Einstein Industries has remained true to its overriding goal: to provide a trustworthy link between consumers and the most reputable health care and legal professionals in their respective industries.
In addition to his position at Einstein Industries, Inc., Mr. Silkey sits on the board of VectorVision, Inc., a company that specializes in advanced vision testing technology. He received his undergraduate training in marketing at Eastern Kentucky University.
For nearly a decade, Ted Ricasa has been building a profile of excellence in marketing, using effective methods of market analysis and human factors engineering in a multitude of successful campaigns. Prior to assuming the position of vice president/general manager of Einstein Industries, Inc., Mr. Ricasa established the ground floor operations for the company’s marketing department, and he continues to oversee technical and marketing specifications for product development.
Mr. Ricasa’s success in market development for Einstein’s online properties is a model of achievement. He has established strategic partnerships between Einstein Industries and the Internet’s leading search engine companies, including Google™, Yahoo!®, and MSN®. Mr. Ricasa was also responsible for establishing Einstein’s pioneering Traditional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) program and has remained at the forefront of the company’s aggressive development of new products.
Before joining Einstein Industries, Mr. Ricasa served as a key member on the strategic planning committees of two successful political campaigns: Juan Carlos Vargas for the San Diego City Council and Warren Furatani for the Los Angeles School Board. Mr. Ricasa received his undergraduate training in political science and completed pre-law coursework at San Diego State University.
By the time George Richeson joined Einstein Industries as vice president of sales, he had twenty-six years of experience in medical marketing, during which he achieved consistently remarkable results. Mr. Richeson was formerly southeast division manager for Alcon Surgical, a division of Alcon Laboratories, where he led the company to record revenue numbers. During his tenure at Alcon, Mr. Richeson was responsible for increasing sales from $150,000 to approximately $22 million. In the years that followed, Mr. Richeson had similar success at other health care companies, including Coburn Optical, Intermedics Intraocular, Innovative Surgical Products, and Allergan.
Mr. Richeson was a founding member of DGR, Inc., a company that specializes in the manufacture of intraocular lenses. During his time at DGR, he sat on the board of directors and was essential to the company’s retention of such prominent clients as Emory University, Health South Hospitals, and the Medical University of South Carolina.
Mr. Richeson is also the founder and owner of Richeson and Associates, a laser rental firm catering to the plastic surgery, ophthalmic, and dermatology health care markets. He holds two medical surgical patents. Mr. Richeson completed his undergraduate degree in industrial management, as well as his MBA, at the University of Alabama.
Pamela Lund has more than seven years of experience in the Internet industry, during which time she has achieved success in several capacities. As director of production at Einstein Industries, Ms. Lund manages the production department, the responsibilities of which include consumer marketing, website production, and new product development.
Ms. Lund was named director of production in 2005, after a string of accomplishments in other related positions. She began her career in accounting at Flashcards.com and ThinkBig Marketing. While working at ThinkBig, she made a courageous leap by taking over as the company’s marketing manager. In 2001, Ms. Lund successfully combined billboard, television, and direct mail marketing to launch the advertising campaign that led to the celebrated comeback of Buy.com.
Originally hired as Einstein Industry’s Media Buyer in 2002, Ms. Lund was recognized for her outstanding organizational abilities, people skills, and overall management potential with a promotion to marketing manager in 2004 and to director of production in 2005. Her unique combination of finance and marketing experience has been a strong asset to Einstein as it has allowed her to develop strong marketing and production strategies while keeping a close eye on the bottom line.
Ms. Lund attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis on finance.
Steve Schadt is director of corporate development at Einstein Industries, Inc. Mr. Schadt has been recognized both locally and nationally for excellence in creative and innovative web design, and he has more than ten years of experience in forming and managing teams to create both web and print work. Prior to joining Einstein, Mr. Schadt was an art director for McCann Erickson Advertising, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. His client list has included Disney, Lockheed Martin, DirecTV, Zurich Insurance, the San Diego Zoo, Scripps Health, Ximed, and GT Bicycles. He lectures on website development at seminars and conferences throughout the country.
Mr. Schadt earned his bachelor of fine arts from the prestigious College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Schadt has also studied design and theory at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Since being named director of information technology in 2004, Dennis Gerasimenko has had a significant impact on Einstein’s IT operations. In an effort to increase efficiency, Mr. Gerasimenko restructured the IT department, hiring approximately 65 percent of its current staff and reorganizing project time allocation to meet deadlines. Mr. Gerasimenko also co-founded Einstein’s technical support department and currently oversees the company’s system administration and internal development teams. He plays a vital role by regularly advising the company’s executives on the latest trends in information technology.
Mr. Gerasimenko began his career in information technology as a freelance graphic designer and web developer, which led him to employment opportunities at Internet marketing firm Intrasell and web development company Bytes On-Line. He was subsequently hired by Einstein Industries, where his Linux expertise allowed him to develop the first dynamically driven version of DocShop.com, the company’s core Internet property. Mr. Gerasimenko then created the Einstein Information System (EIS), Einstein’s customer relations and asset management application; IMPACT, one of the first email marketing and mailing list management programs to hit the market; and VAB Mail, Einstein’s successful web mail system.
Prior to pursuing a career in information technology, Mr. Gerasimenko earned degrees in architecture from the Kharkov State College of Architecture and the Ukrainian Academy of Art.
Greg McKinney joined Einstein in 2007 with the task of providing clients with the highest quality web video products in the industry. In addition to overseeing a team of videographers, editors, and producers, Mr. McKinney is currently working to create an online video network that includes dynamic programming featuring Einstein’s clients.
Mr. McKinney has sixteen years of experience in the television news industry. He has previously worked as an anchor and reporter at local news stations around the country and has been asked to report on several national news networks, including Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, and the BBC. He has covered everything from the Democratic National Convention, to Dr. Jack Kevorkian, to Middle East Peace talks.
Mr. McKinney completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio University, earning a B.S. in Journalism.
Lynn Rodrigues joined Einstein Industries in February 2006 as director of human resources. Ms. Rodrigues has nearly 20 years of experience in human resources, having held several director-level positions in the field prior to joining Einstein.
During her career in human resources, Ms. Rodrigues has worked in a diverse range of industries, including shipbuilding, healthcare, and commercial janitorial, as well as for a highly successful start-up, Internet-based auto loan company. She served as human resources director for PeopleFirst Finance during their growth years and continued through their transition as they were acquired by Capital One Auto Finance. Ms. Rodrigues also worked as a human resources consultant with Benefits Management Systems and previously ran her own independent consulting business.
Ms. Rodrigues received her Bachelors of Science in business administration and management from the University of Redlands and has held an SPHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute since 1999.
