Due to Einstein Medical’s rapid expansion, Einstein Industries was formed as an umbrella to the company’s Internet directory products, software solutions, and online publishing and consulting services, enabling companies to secure a competitive edge in the Internet marketplace.
Einstein’s Internet directory products, including LASIKDocShop.com, CosmeticsDocShop.com, DentalDocShop.com, InfertilityDocShop.com, and LawyerShop.com, drive consumers to medical websites, dental websites, and legal websites. The sophisticated Docshop directory system offers a means of generating large-scale revenue for a variety of business segments.

In 1999, Einstein underwent a remarkable transformation, beginning with the replication of its successful medical directory model to launch LawyerShop.com. The LawyerShop directory, whose revenue results have mimicked the established trends for Einstein Medical clients, enables consumers to locate information from reputable sources on a variety of legal topics (personal injury law, medical malpractice, etc.), on the web sites of lawyers in their local area. Also in 1999, Einstein Medical launched VABfn.com, a medical finance service.
Until recently, Einstein Medical operated as a self-funded Internet company. Currently, Einstein Industries is in the process of securing its first round of funding in order to grow its seven profit centers into large revenue producers for the company.
Founded in 1995, the company formed its audience reach by developing partnerships with 14 major search engines. Einstein Medical was the first company to purchase medical search terms on Microsoft Network (MSN). Since then, Einstein has become the largest “key word” advertiser for both the medical and dental markets on MSN, and the success of Einstein’s medical directories is now well recognized.
Recognized for its Internet presence, in August 2000 Einstein Industries was introduced to the public by Ted Owen– President of the San Diego Business Journal and host of the television talk show San Diego Business in Focus–as a “Successful Internet Company.” In a third party evaluation conducted in May 2000, MSN cited “Einstein Medical’s Success Story” alongside other prominent companies such as Barnes and Noble, Toyota, and Lipton Tea. In February 2000, Robert Silkey, founder and CEO, was interviewed on “In Our Town,” a Minneapolis based television talk show, to discuss how Einstein Medical has localized the Internet. LASIKDocShop.com, CosmeticsDocshop.com, and DentalDocshop.com have received national recognition in publications such as Ocular Surgery News, EyeWorld, Dentistry Today, and Cosmetic Surgery Magazine throughout the year 2000.
